Kumzar, Oman – November 15 2012 – Mariam Abdullah Ali Al Kumzari (in red) looks up at her neighbors emerging from their house in the early afternoon. Located in the northernmost tip of Oman, Kumzar is an isolated village in the Musandam peninsula. Because of its’ unique geographical location, locals speak a unique non-semitic language known as Kumzari. All inhabitants on the island also share the same last name.
